About Me
Besides being a UX researcher and designer, some other things in life interest me. Among those things are music, psychology, and sports.
Music
Since my early teenage years, I have played the guitar, which led to fantastic experiences and opportunities.
I have a band called Dope Calypso. Some people say we are pretty amazing. We are the first-ever Hungarian band playing at Primavera Sound in Barcelona. 🤙
Managing the band and releasing several records taught me some ideas on the business side of the music industry, especially on general management and digital assets management (streaming, campaigns, etc.). My background in media and advertising helped me very much in the band.
Recently, I dived into making electronic music and everything that comes along with that—different DAWs, hardware gear, Eurorack synths, and field recording.
My passion for music also made me a festival founder and organizer (Budapest Showcase Hub). I helped organize the conference part of the Songwriting Expo 2020 organized by Artisjus, the Hungarian Association of Music Composers.
Psychology
I also recently started a new path and returned to university to study psychology. This endeavor started from my belief that becoming a UX designer means thriving to understand people better. I’m currently in my last year on the cognitive psychology track, and even though getting my second Master’s had its ups and downs, I consider this the best decision of my life.
My thesis concerns judgment and decision-making (so basically cognitive biases) in online settings, especially risk aversion, endowment effect, anchoring, and framing.
Sports
When I was younger, I did athletics, football, basketball, and anything in between :) Then, during my early studies, sports became less critical in my life. But in recent years (since 2021), I started to train regularly, 3-4 times a week (functional training, weight training), and whenever I have the chance, I go cycling when not indoors (Zwift), then outdoors, and probably gravel (see that on my Strava), part of this healthy habit is paying attention to my nutrition, how I eat, and what I eat.
